All in a Day’s Work
14 March - 5 June, Saturday to Thursday
This exhibition is a powerful portrait of the role women play in modern rural businesses, showcased through a series of photographers by Lucy Saggers, commissioned by the Women in Farming Network.
Initially launched at the 162nd Great Yorkshire Show, the YAS-supported network has teamed up with Ampleforth-based documentary photographer Lucy Saggers to tell a compelling visual story of the diverse brilliance of Women in Farming’s growing membership and farming women across the generations.
The result is a stunning snapshot of farming lives across Yorkshire, drawn together in an exhibition of 27 carefully curated images entitled ‘All in a Day’s Work’.
Having been displayed for the first time at England’s premier agricultural show in 2021, the exhibition will be on show at Ryedale Folk Museum from Monday 14 March to Sunday 5 June. The exhibition is in the grounds of the Museum. Normal admission charges apply.
