Become a Trustee
Our friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated trustee group is seeking new recruits
Following the retirement in 2023 of several trustees who made a substantial difference to the museum in recent years, we are looking for new trustees to join the Board.
We’re looking for people who are forward thinking, open-minded, willing to contribute their time and effort, and who have a passion for the museum. Although we’re keen to welcome a diverse range of experiences and perspectives, we would particularly like to recruit trustees with expertise in fundraising, environmental issues and climate change, or farming and rural life. However, if you’re interested and feel you have something else to contribute, please get in touch as we’d love to hear from you.
The Board has the ultimate responsibility for directing the affairs of museum and charity, and, as a trustee, you will have the opportunity to help us deliver our strategic aims, contributing to a thriving and sustainable future. We aim to make your experience as a trustee both rewarding and enjoyable; and we offer support and development opportunities to help you grow your skills, as well as a formal induction process. By joining us, we hope that you will have the chance to use your expertise to make a real difference to the museum and local area.
If you’d like to know more, just drop a line with your phone number to [email protected] and one of our existing trustees will get back to you. To apply, send us your CV and a covering letter detailing your relevant experience, why you’re interested, and what you have to offer.
There is no deadline for applications.
